THE DETAILS

Find the information. Build the catalogue.

01

Start with supplier databases

We look first for available supplier databases, product exports and structured feeds. These give us a dependable starting point for product IDs, content, stock and pricing.

02

Fill the gaps from their website

If a database or export does not contain what is needed, we gather available titles, descriptions, images, retail prices and specifications from supplier websites and public product information, using scraping where appropriate and authorised.

03

Bring product documents into the picture

When website content is not available or still leaves gaps, we extract the useful details from product PDFs, information sheets and specification sheets.

04

Merge the content, product by product

Match each available title, description, image and specification to the right SKU, alongside supplier costs, retail prices, variants and stock. Standardise the formats and resolve duplicates.

05

Make missing details visible

Flag unavailable information and conflicting values, keeping the source of gathered content clear. We do not invent specifications, product claims or images to fill gaps.

06

Prepare it for your store

Provide upload-ready CSV or XLSX in your platform format, or handle the agreed import and API or connector integration. Map images, attributes, categories and variants, validate a sample and report any exceptions.

ONE MASTER CATALOGUE / YOUR CHOICE OF DESTINATIONS

Your data. More places to use it.

A price file becomes a richer product record. That record can become a Shopify product, a WooCommerce import and an eBay catalogue entry—each shaped for its destination.

Shopify

Native Shopify import files or an agreed direct connection. A structured catalogue database can sit behind the workflow.

Matrixify for Shopify

Catalogue files mapped for the Matrixify import app within Shopify, including the agreed product and variant structure.

WooCommerce

Import-ready products, variants, categories and attributes, or a separately scoped direct delivery workflow.

BigCommerce

Product information and supported fields mapped into the catalogue format your BigCommerce store needs.

Custom websites & databases

A structured database, custom export or agreed connection built around your own system’s fields.

eBay & Amazon

Prepare channel-specific titles, descriptions, image references, categories and required attributes from the available data.

COMING SOON

OnBuy

OnBuy catalogue preparation is in development. It is not part of our currently available channel delivery.

FOR EXAMPLE

One catalogue.
Three useful versions.

The same products. Different columns, field rules and category mappings.

  1. 01Shopify-ready catalogue
  2. 02WooCommerce-ready catalogue
  3. 03eBay-ready catalogue

Take the files.

Receive the master catalogue or database plus your agreed destination exports. Upload them yourself or hand them to your existing team.

Connect directly.

Where the platform supports it, we can scope an import or direct integration. Required access, supported fields and validation are agreed first.

Use Operxo, if it suits.

Our CCM and Online Spares workflows use Operxo to connect catalogue data to Shopify and WooCommerce. You do not need Operxo to use our services.

Each version is validated against its agreed destination format. Marketplace requirements vary by category and account; missing required information is flagged. Preparing a catalogue does not automatically publish listings. Third-party app and platform fees, if needed, are separate.

HOW THE WORK HAPPENS

From source check to a usable catalogue.

  1. Find the sources

Start with databases, price files and exports. Fill agreed gaps from supplier websites, public product information, PDFs and information sheets.

  2. Match & enrich

Match SKUs and model references. Gather supported titles, descriptions, images, specifications and prices with source notes.

  3. Review exceptions

Resolve duplicate codes, conflicting specifications, missing images and variant ambiguity. Keep unknown values visible.

  4. Map each destination

Create separate versions for your stores and marketplaces: native Shopify, Matrixify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, eBay, Amazon or your custom system. Validate a sample for each destination before delivery.

WHAT YOU RECEIVE

A useful result.
A clear handover.

  • An enriched master catalogue or structured database, with agreed platform-specific CSV/XLSX exports
  • Matched image references, descriptions and supported specifications
  • A field mapping and source notes
  • A list of held, missing or conflicting records
  • Sample validation, one or several destination versions, and an agreed import or handover

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Before we start.

Do you scrape supplier websites?

Where appropriate and authorised, yes. We start with structured data when available, then use websites and product documents to fill gaps. We agree access and permitted use before collecting content.

Whose responsibility are data and image rights?

We agree which sources and assets may be used for the project. Public availability is not a promise that content may be reused without permission. We flag access or usage restrictions before delivery.

What if information is missing or contradictory?

It is recorded as an exception. We do not invent technical specifications, compatibility, stock quantities, certifications or product images. You decide how unresolved products should be handled.

Which platforms can you prepare data for?

Shopify native formats, Matrixify files for Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, custom websites and databases, plus catalogue preparation for eBay and Amazon. OnBuy support is coming soon. Each destination gets its own field mapping and validation. Choose ready-to-upload files, an agreed direct integration or an Operxo route; Operxo is optional.

Do I need Operxo?

No. Operxo is one delivery route we use in our own businesses. We can hand over separate files for your chosen platforms, build a structured catalogue database or scope direct connections. For example, the same master catalogue can produce separate Shopify, WooCommerce and eBay versions.

Does £299 include a full integration?

£299 is the starting point for an agreed catalogue-preparation scope. Product volume, sources, extraction complexity and any direct import or ongoing integration determine the final quote.

Catalogue preparation from £299.

Tell us the supplier, what information is available and where the catalogue needs to go.

A database export, price file, supplier website or sample product PDF is a useful starting point. Your quote reflects the number of products, sources, extraction work, variants and import requirements. We agree access, content and image permissions, available fields and deliverables before work begins.
